Cutting shapes really is a matter of DEGREES!

One Picture is worth a thousand words.

Both the Scoreboard and the Scoreboard 2 are the finest cutting aids on the market. It is an indispensible tool for all glass crafters. Hot glass and mosaic artists love the ability it gives them to  cut small geometric shapes accurately, easily, and consistently. Because the cutting surface is flat, the small pieces are easy to work with since they will never fall into a "hole" as can happen with some other tools.

Everything is Included.

There are NO OPTIONS to buy.

The very first thing you should notice about the Scoreboard 2 is that the board is now marked in one-degree increments from 20 degrees above the horizontal on the right side of the board to 60 degrees above the horizontal on the left side of the board. Setting any degree (or even a fraction of a degree) is now an easy matter especially since the individual marks are slightly over 1/4 inch apart. It's exactly like using a 30 inch protractor to set an angle! And just like the original, Scoreboard 2 comes complete with the aluminum angle bumper and the brass, thin-glass standoff.

The second interesting point is that the lower right corner has changed. The stabilizer bar is now mounted in the base bar. The clamp bracket is only fastened to the base bar. This means that you can remove the stop bar and slide a long strip of glass from one side of the board completely across and out the other side of the board. This is called a "pass through" design. It let's you strip glass continuously on a very long strip. All you have to do is put a fine mark on the base bar that defines your strip width. Then, after scoring, just slide the glass until the score lines up with your mark and score again. You could do that before but not with real long strips.

You can also move the stabilizer bar pivot point from the lower right corner to the point shown at the upper left. This position keeps the stabilizer out of your way more and also lets you work on a smaller table since the stabilizer bar never goes above the top edge of the board. Also, if you're working on the left side of the cutter guide bar you can pivot the stabilizer bar at the lower left corner (as always) or at the top of the board in the pivot point shown above and to the right of the 75 degree mark.

Scoreboard 2 also comes complete with a CD that provides an enhanced 15 page instruction set with lots of detailed photos and includes cutting and measuring tips. As an added bonus the CD contains our "Easy Shapes" book which provides you with 57 detailed pages showing you how to cut squares, rectangles, triangles, trapezoids, pentagons, hexagons, octagons, diamonds, and mitered corners. Easy Shapes, which used to sell for $15.00, contains over 100 figures showing you detailed steps to make each shape. There is also a lot of dimensional data for cutting box bases for different shapes, for cutting common diamond shapes of different sizes, and mitering. You'll be amazed at how much information there is in "Easy Shapes."

As has always been the case with the Scoreboard, you can record any angular location on the board simply by drawing a line along the edge marker guide at the top of the cutter guide bar. Use a Sharpie and then label the mark so you know what it's for. Of course you can also record your horizontal stops simply by running a line across the gap between the stop bar and the base bar and then labeling the line at top and bottom. See the photo below.

Here the stop is set to strip a 1-1/2 wide piece of glass. To repeat this operation at any time, simply line up the two lines labeled "1-1/2", snug up the clamp screw, and you're good to go. Of course there's still a fixed stop at 90 degrees so you never have to be concerned about finding a place where the cutter guide bar is square with the base bar.

Once you've made your exacting measurements, set and recorded your angles, and labeled your horizontal stops, it's possible to produce as many pieces you want of each project without ever having to measure a single piece of glass. How great is that?  Only the Scoreboard let's you do that!

Remember - only the Scoreboard lets you change angles and stops and then return to another set of stops in mere seconds. You will also be able to produce precision parts over and over again any time you want without hassle and without having to re-read the instructions.
